What) In this town on Route 138, you'll find one of the most impressive churches in Canada.  An opus of marble built in 1917, St Antoine de Padoue boasts 67 intricate stained-glass windows and a magnificent cupola painted to represent the seven virtues. (from a Canadian guide book that I found in my apartment)

    Where) 50, avenue St-Laurent

    Why) We had ten days to make the 13 hour drive from Montréal to Summerside. To pass the time, I picked a convoluted route and I had to lower my standards for what constitutes a good Buckys.  This one was supposed to fit those criteria.  Would it surprise you to learn that it turned out to be more enjoyable than most of the ones chosen with regular standards?

We made it to the church as expected but the doors were locked and Pam could not get inside.

The side facade was nice as well but ... 

... as usual I spent more time photographing the smaller details.

I really enjoyed the contrast created by the two main colours of stone used in the building.

I liked this stop so much that I may include more churches on future Buckys lists.
