What) The Mesilla
Valley Fine Art Gallery
is a cooperative of around 30 artists from the Las Cruces,
Southern New Mexico and West Texas area, offering quality and
original works of art. The gallery visitor will enjoy a wide
selection of works in all media: oil, acrylic, watercolor,
pastel, and graphic processes as well as photography, glass,
jewelry, gourd art and woodworking. We specialize in original
artwork with a Southwestern ambiance, with works in a wide
range of subject matter available as well. Some of the artists
also offer greeting cards and prints of their work. (1)

Why) Pam
and I met Weeden Nichols and his wife Rosalie at the October
2012 Regina Sectional
and we both found them to be pleasant, friendly and still
enjoying their lives (not exactly a common combination when we
are at the bridge table). The big coincidence for me occurred
when they mentioned that they were from New Mexico and they
had come up to Regina because it was one of the last
states/provinces that they hadn't been to. Well, at that time
the only one of the continental states that Pam and I hadn't
visited was New Mexico and we were in the process of planning
this Arizona trip to include it. So, when Weeden gave me his
card I couldn't help but put the Mesilla Art Gallery on this
list.
