What) As of today, August 8, 2015, this is the last Buckys entry that I see myself posting on the internet in the foreseeable future.
Where) Somewhere
in the middle of Wyoming. I just used the name Muddy Gap
because it was close to where these pictures were taken and
because I liked the sound of it.
Why) Back in
2010, when Pam and I started taking Buckys trips, I had no
thoughts of creating a website that would end up with 3400
pictures, 538 Buckys entries
and 150 interesting bridge hands.
I just found myself collecting things on our trips and one day
I looked around and saw all this interesting material on my
computer and thought "I bet I could create a nice present for
Pam using this stuff." I finished that present (the Detroit,
Las Vegas, Houston, California, Penticton and Montana sections
of this website) and placed a copy of it on Pam's computer in
time for her birthday.
Then I asked Pam whether or not she wanted me to place a copy
on the internet as well. Pam said yes and this website was
born in February of 2011. In the four years since then, I
continued creating material and adding to the website until
something happened to me in 2014 during the Calgary trip. I
found myself with very little desire to collect bridge hands.
Then, during this trip to the 2014 summer NABC in Las Vegas, I
found myself with very little desire to create a Buckys record
of what happened there even though I had lots of opportunities
and some interesting stories to tell.
